Jean Marie Spring, 66, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society in Pine River.
Jean was born January 15, 1948, in Lake City to Willard and Ethel Lynch. She was raised on the family farm in Zumbro Falls and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1966. She attended Rochester Junior College where she studied art. Jean married Rick Spring on May 25, 1968, and they lived in Rochester. They later made their home in northern Minnesota, moving to Longville in 1976 and to Hackensack in 1981. Jean worked for Mayo Clinic and Kitchigami Regional Library in Pine River. A hallmark of her life was her gentle, joyful spirit and positive attitude. She loved music, reading, spending time with family and friends and cooking.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Deanna (Charles) Constans of Eyota, Jennifer (Butch) Pearson of Pequot Lakes; four grandchildren, Megan and Tyler Constans of Eyota, Nicholas and MaKenna Pearson of Pequot Lakes; Siblings: Sharon (Ken) Roland of Rochester, David (Carolyn) Lynch of Olympia, WA., Laurie (Barton) Mork of Rochester, and Marilee (Don) Hughes of Stewartville. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Spring and her parents.
Pastor Mark Woodward will officiate a funeral service at Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota on Monday, June 30, 2014, with visitation at 4 p.m. and service at 5 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
