Jean E. Sandberg was above all a free spirit, an artist, and an animal lover. Born on February 16, 1947 and long time resident of Onamia, Minnesota, she passed away on January 09, 2012. Jean is preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Frank E. and Ruth E. Sandberg Sr. Jean is survived by her brother, Frank E. (Judith A.) Sandberg Jr., niece Catherine A. (Robert C.) Walker, nephew Steven E. (Megan M.) Sandberg, grand niece's and nephew Julie Walker, LCpl. Jason Walker USMC, and Anna Sandberg. As well as countless extended members of the Sandberg family originating in the Malmo, Isle and Onamia area. Jean's passion was for the care and attention to her animals whom we are certain will miss her presence, and be assured the all of Jeans animal friends will find comfort in their new adoptive homes.
Arrangements are being made by Brenny Funeral Chapel, Staples, Minnesota. Internment will be beside her Father and Mother at Acacia Park Cemetery, Mendota Heights, MN.

An open memorial service in honor of Jean to bring together her extended family and friends, and more importantly to pay tribute and thank the men and women of Onamia and Mille Lacs County who cared for Jean during her life time and treated her as family. The memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 102 Crosier Dr., Onamia MN on Monday, January 30th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
