Jean Lawton

Jean Sherman Lawton, 78, of Baxter died on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. A Funeral Service for Jean will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:00AM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN, with visitation one hour prior to services. A Luncheon will follow at the Nisswa American Legion Club in Nisswa, MN. Interment will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.

Jean was born on July 21, 1934 in Texas to Myrtle Schuster. She married James Lawton in Woodside, CA on August 14, 1982. She was a member of the Nisswa Red Hats and Women's Club.

She was preceded in death by her cousin, Mel Hoelscher; grandparents, Casper and Rosita Schuster; and mother, Myrtle Schuster. Jean is survived by her husband, James; children, Susan Carter, Charles Carter, Delbert Carter, Cynthia Carter, Shelly Sherman, and Edward Sherman; twenty-one grandchildren, and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to American Heart Association.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services.
