Janet H Triplett Anderson (Chillen) passed away surrounded by family at the age of 78 on April 11 after a brave and hard fought battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born July 18, 1946 to Henry and Bonnie (Stephenson) Chillen. Janet is preceded in death by her first husband David V Triplett with whom she shared many meaningful years and two children together; Andy and Sarah. She was blessed to find love again when introduced to Wayne by her best friend Judy Lawrence and they married November 30, 1991. Jan and Wayne spent 35 beautiful years together. She loved him dearly and he never left her side.

Janet spent her career working in retail and interior design. Her most memorable positions include her work with Cottages to Castles in Edina, with April Cornell as a sales representative, followed by her opening an April Cornell store in the Galleria Shopping Center in Edina. After Jan and Wayne moved to Lake Shore, she met PJ and worked with the Red Umbrella where the two of them “junked” and created beautiful spaces making everything feel fun, elegant and curated.

Jan and Wayne spent many years residing in Bloomington, MN, and retired to Lake Shore, MN where they had established many wonderful friendships which began when they purchased their Cabin on Lake Margaret.

Jan and Wayne built a beautiful home lovingly known as “The Farm” where she crafted stunning gardens of hostas, decorative grass and perennials. Her porch was always decorated to perfection with amazing flowers and ferns, plants and of course the most beautiful decor. Jan loved to read, page through hundreds of magazines, create beautiful spaces and adorn their gorgeous home for the seasons. A transformation at Christmas time accessorized to magical perfection creating beautiful celebrations of lasting memories. Jan loved shopping, gifting others, hunting for the perfect piece of furniture or treasure, entertaining, socializing and meeting new people. Her outgoing and gracious personality always with an inviting and contagious smile. Jan never left a social engagement without knowing someone or meeting a new friend!

Though Janet is no longer here in person, her spirit lives on in every cozy corner, every thoughtful detail, every moment shared in the warmth of someone's home or heart. How lucky we are to have had her in our lives. May we continue to carry her sense of grace, style and genuine connection with us.

Janet is survived by her loving husband Wayne, son Andy (Laura) Triplett, daughter Sarah (Pat) Ellena, stepson Chuck Anderson, stepson Dan (Suzanne) Anderson and seven grandchildren Alyssa (Luke), Mya, Erika, Emmie (Elliott), Cooper, Christopher and Jessica. She is further survived by her 3 special nieces Amy, Katy and Michele, dearest person Lynn (Kirk) Grandell, many relatives and countless adored friends.

A special thank you to Hills Crossing Memory Care in Nisswa and Moments Hospice for the special care provided to Janet. She was clearly loved and adored by all of the staff.
