Janel passed away peacefully at Care Free Living in Brainerd, Minnesota.

Janel Hannah was born to Bernard and Carol Budish. She was the middle child of three. Later she met Jim Hannah and together they had three children. After their marriage ended, she moved to Brainerd. She lived in Brainerd for the next forty-two years with her sister Frankie Eck and friend Rosie.

Janel is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Carol Budish; her sister Susan Otternes; and brother Bradley Budish.

She is survived by her children Tabetha Merril (Joe) of Brainerd, MN; Steven Hannah (Patricia) of Emily, Minnesota; Cheryl Hannah (Dave) of Aitkin, Minnesota; grandchildren, Desira Merril, Micheal Merril, Jake Merril, Chanty Merril, Steve Hanna III, and Rachel Cook.

A celebration of life will be held April 12, 2025, from 2pm – 4pm at the Crow Wing Township Hall: 6930 Cuyuna Ave SW Brainerd Minnesota 56401.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
