Jane Noehring, age 72, of Brainerd, Minnesota died Tuesday, February 26, 2002, at the Sun Health Hospice in Peoria, Arizona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Seamus Walsh at St. Francis Catholic Church of Brainerd on Monday, March 4, 2002, at 10:30 AM. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd. Friends may visit on Sunday, March 3, from 4-7:00 PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM. Arrangements are by Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
Jane Anne Noehring was born October 9, 1929 in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, to John A. and Mary (Day) Gunderson. She graduated from Durham-Hall High School in St. Paul, and attended St. Catherine?s College. She taught school in Holdingford and in South St. Paul. She was married to Arthur Noehring, her husband of 48 years, on July 25, 1953, in Mahtomedi, MN. The family lived in White Bear Lake, in St. Cloud, and in St. Louis, MO before moving to Brainerd in 1973. Jane worked as a Teaching Assistant. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd. Jane?s hobbies included needlework, golfing, reading, and spending time at ?The Cabin.? Her special joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Jane Noehring is survived by her husband Art of Brainerd; three daughters, Mary Jane (Stephen) Santele of Plymouth, Patricia (Denis) Montplaisir of Mandan, ND, and Joan (David) Duffy of Forest Lake; three sons, Michael (Mary Kay) Noehring of Lakeville, John Noehring of Bemidji, and James Noehring of Brainerd; and 18 grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Luers and Margaret Whitcomb; and four brothers, John Gunderson, Jim Gunderson, Dick Gunderson, and Tom Gunderson. Her parents preceded her in death. We will all miss her and remember her with love.
