Jane Fargo

Jane Fargo, 73, of Brainerd, MN, passed away on August 14, 2022, surrounded by her children. Visitation with friends and family will take place on Saturday, October 15^th from 11am – 2pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.

Jane was born on November 10, 1948, in Crosby, ND to John and Stella (Struxness) Selle. She was head of the microbiology department at Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center and worked there for thirty-six years prior to her retirement in 2016.

Jane enjoyed reading, crafting, gardening and refinishing furniture. She also enjoyed baking and cooking both for and with others, especially her family. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, playing games like Norwegian Canasta, doing trivia and sharing in lots of laughter. She gave the best hugs, and everyone knew her by her distinct and infectious laugh. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Jane is survived by her children, Jon (Christina) Fargo, Matt (Nikki) Fargo, Tony (Ashley) Fargo; grandchildren, Addison, Mason, Sofia, Julia; one brother Stan (Connie) Selle; former spouse Rick Fargo; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
