James Wallin

James Wallin, 73, of Brainerd, MN died at his home on Saturday, September 26, 2015. Funeral Services for James will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 1:00PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd, MN with Pastor Steve Benson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 4:00-7:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

James was born on November 22, 1944, to Oscar and Ruth (Siefert) Wallin in Nisswa, MN. James and Minna (Luther) were married on July 2, 1966. They were blessed with four children: Todd Wallin of Brainerd, Amy Price (Chad) of Baxter, David Wallin of Pequot Lakes, and Mindy Chandler (R. Michael) of Nisswa; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. James is survived by his siblings: Caroljean Weise (John), Calvin Wallin (Shirley), John Wallin (Carolee); Joe Wallin, Jeanette Fee (Frank), and Paul Wallin (Lisa). He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jerry Wallin.

HIs family is very proud of all of his many accomplishments, and dedication as a loving Dad and husband. The loss is immeasurable and he will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for James' great-granddaughter, Lainee (4) who was diagnosed with cancer last week and has just began chemo. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
