James Sadusky

James "Jim" Sadusky, 77, of Staples, MN passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, April 3, 2016. Services for Jim will be at 11:00AM, Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples, with Father Joe Korf officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 4:00-7:00PM, Wednesday, April 6 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, with a prayer service at 7:00, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at a later date at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Jim was born on March 24, 1939 in Staples, MN to Edward and Phyllis (Geernaert) Sadusky. He graduated in 1957 from Staples High School. Jim attended Tri State Engineering in Angola, IN. Jim was united in marriage to Anne Rose on September 9, 1961 in Two Inlets, MN, and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage together. They raised three children; Mark, Lisa and Tim. Jim joined the family business, Northern Manufacturing and Engineering with his father and brothers, retiring in 1990. He also worked at Miller True Value and was a dedicated volunteer Firefighter from 1972-2001. He earned the position of Assistant Fire Chief and then Chief. Jim was a member of the Retired Firefighters local, MN State Fire Chief Association, the Knights of Columbus and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed life, the outdoors, fishing, hunting, trips to deer camp with friends and family and camping.

Jim is survived by his wife, Anne; children, Mark (Michel) of Oak Grove, Lisa (Paul) of Staples, Tim (Connie) of Elko; 12 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Amelia, Alyssa (Jared), Brandon (Chelsea), Karlee, Jordan, Adam (Ashley), Jordan, Ryan, Taylor, Hartman, Jessica; two great grandchildren, Kendra and Kyla; sisters, Lillian Seng, Margaret Herman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Phyllis; brothers, Ed, John; sisters, Phyllis and Dorothy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
