James Motl

James A. Motl, age 66, of Browerville, passed away at the St. Cloud VA Hospital, on Thursday, July 26, 2012. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, August 2, at 1:00 PM, at the Camp Ripley Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the chapel. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery.

James was born on May 23, 1946, in Bertha, MN, to Clarence and Gladys (Judd) Motl. After graduating from High School, he enlisted in the US Navy, where he served for 20 years. After retiring, James volunteered as a driver for Todd County. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, gardening, and fishing. He also loved to cook and collect recipes.

James is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Phaedra (Chris) Armwood, Randy Motl, Jennifer Motl, and Stephanie Motl; 7 grandchildren; brother, Gary Motl; and sister, Betty (John) Paape.
