James Morrow

James “Jim” Morrow, 70, of Staples, originally from Motley, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at Hills Crossing Senior Living in Nisswa, MN. Services for Jim will be 11:00AM, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples, MN.

Jim was born May 16, 1946 in Brainerd to Irvin and Florence (Parks) Morrow. He graduated from Motley High School in 1964. Right after high school, he went to trade school for auto mechanic. Jim worked as an auto mechanic at a couple different car dealerships. He also did carpenter work. Jim married Janet Dumpprope on April 3, 1971. Together they had four children. In Jim’s later years, he made a home with his significant other, Sherry Hahn, and stepchildren. Jim enjoyed visiting with friends, going to the casino, garage saleing, fishing, going different places and collecting odds and ends.

Jim is survived by his children, Jon Morrow of Cushing, Timothy (Jennifer) Morrow of Motley, Monica (Stephan) Breitel of Hesperia, CA; grandchildren, Jordyn, Jacob and Landon; stepchildren, Jason (Niki) Cherry of Staples, Melissa (Brian) Buck of Mahnomen, Jessica (Lynwood) Rumney of Cincinatti, OH, Samantha (Bob) Hahn of Akley; step grandchildren, Heileigh, Justin, Anika, Braxton, Hannah, Daniel, Raymond, Cole and Medeline. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Florence Morrow; and his son, Dustin Oliver Morrow. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
