James Boyd Kilbury Sr., age 71, of Staples, passed away Sunday morning at 6:30 am at his home after battling cancer for several months.
James Boyd Kilbury Sr. was born on December 3, 1937, in Hammond Indiana, the son of Marion Vail and Richard Kilbury. He married Nancy Kilbury in November of 2008.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Ross, and Art, and his sisters Norma and Maryanne, and his first wife Mildred, Jim will be greatly missed by his wife Nancy and his children James Jr. of Minneapolis, MN, Lori (Dan) of Staples, MN, Bryan (Amy) of Kansas, Chad (Amanda) of Staples, MN, Angel of Kansas and Step daughter Michelle, his nieces and nephews, his grand kids Shana, Ashley, Nicole, Paige and Rylea, Alysia and 8 others. His brothers Norman of Missouri and Roger (DeLous) of Henning, MN.
Jim was really into listening and playing music. He loved playing the guitar. He loved building things. He had a Picnic table business a few years ago and although he was blind, it never stopped him from doing any of the things he loved to do. He loved watching the NASCAR races. A few years ago he opened JML here in Staples, but when he got his cancer he gave it over to his friend Craig. Jim did a lot of things in his life and he stated to his kids that he had a great life. Will be missed by all. Jim cherished his Family and friends.
