James Hauge

James Hauge, age 82, of Pine River, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at his home. He was born to Carl and Katherine Hauge on November 24, 1928, in La Crosse, WI. James served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He married Janice Tryggestad on June 15, 1957, in La Crosse. James was self-employed and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He also enjoyed playing bridge, training dogs, going for walks, and visiting friends at the coffee shop.

James is survived by his wife, Janice; children: Steven Hauge (Pamela), Sandra Delia (James), Kimberly Holen (Douglas); grandchildren: Brooklyn Hauge, Julia, Kaitlyn, James, Mathias, Marcus, Grant, and Delaney Holen; and dog, Heidi.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark; granddaughter, Kelsey; sisters, Ethel and Carol; and brother, Norman.

Memorials are preferred and will be given to First Lutheran Church, Pine River and the American Cancer Society.

Services will be 11 AM on Monday, October 31, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River, with Pastor Bonnie Lomen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be 1 PM on Tuesday, November 1, at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.
