James Creen

James Creen, 62, Brainerd passed away early Monday morning October 1, 2007 at his lake home in Brainerd. A gathering of family and friends with an open casket will be from 11 AM till noon with services at 1 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Fr Gabriel Waweru officiating, interment will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley. Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter-Brainerd. Military rites will be conducted by the Brainerd VFW. James Richard Patrick Creen was born on November 25, 1944 in Minneapolis son of the late; James and Jenny (Peterson) Creen. He graduated from Biwabik High School then entered the US Army. Following his honorable discharge, he was united in marriage to; Della Jacobs on July 5, 1969 in Biwabik. They lived in various locations then settled in Brainerd. He was a security guard for Pinkerton at St. Joseph Hospital and Potlatch Paper Co. He and Della operated Lum Park Campground till the time of his death. James was a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed fishing, reading, campfires and spending time with His Family, Grandchildren and his pet Maggie. He is survived by his wife; Della, 2 daughters; Joan (Dale) Ranney of Brainerd, Jill Creen of Ironton, 2 sisters; Darlene & Pam, 3 brothers; Dennis, Mike, Bill, grandchildren; D.J., Stephanie, Katie, Crystal. He was preceded in death by his parents.
