James Carlo

James (Jim) Michael Carlo, 65, of Breezy Point, Minnesota, passed away on December 4, 2024. No services will be held at this time.

James was born on January 29, 1959, to Richard and Joyce (Bringer) Carlo in Harvard, Illinois. He married Darla Nelson on May 3, 2007, in Bloomington Minnesota. Their love for each other was endless and they completed each other.

James enjoyed being outside whether he was four wheeling, camping, or snowmobiling. He was a good storyteller and a published poet. He received many awards for his poetry and was a Nashville songwriter. James always had a helping hand and made sure those around him were taken care of. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

James is survived by his loving wife Darla; children, Ben (Amanda) Armstrong, Jason (Heather) Armstrong, Amy (Matthew) Bomstad, Shanna O’Brien; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Also, one brother (Rick) and one sister (Cheryl).

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Crosslake.
