Our dear mother, Jacqueline Ann Seils, received her “Angel Wings” the morning of July 14, 2022, passing away peacefully in her sleep at the very young age of 92. She will be dearly missed by her entire family.
Jackie was born on June 23, 1930, in St Paul, MN, growing up during the Depression. She and our father, Ray, married and lived in St. Paul until they built our family home in Inver Grove Hts. She loved to entertain, and they enjoyed dancing with friends. Summer weekends were spent at Fritz’s Resort in Pequot Lakes, MN. They enjoyed golf, boating, and sitting around the campfires with family and friends. They also loved vacationing in Florida. Jackie spent many years working for St Paul Book & Stationery in St. Paul. She had many lifelong friendships, especially Virginia Blaha, her best friend of 75 years.
Ray passed away unexpectantly in 1982. Jackie then married Orville Seils and together they enjoyed the lake life in Wisconsin and Minnesota, eventually moving to Pequot Lakes. Orv passed away in 2008. Jackie’s neighbors in her Evergreen community became her constant source of companionship. They called themselves “The Housewife’s of Hemlock Lane”. Jackie loved to read, garden, shop, and lunch with the girls.
Despite many injuries in her later years, she remained in her own home until she passed away, Mom got her final wish. She kept a positive outlook toward life and was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Jackie is survived by her children: Susan (Phil) McKinnis, Carole (Mike) Kahnert, and Greg (Cheri) Seils; also, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her sister, Patty Vignalo.
Our family would like to thank Jackie’s homecare providers and her wonderful neighbors, that helped her to live independently. Their compassion and friendship meant the world to her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Pequot lakes, MN, Saturday, July 30, with a visitation at 1:00 p.m. and the service at 2:00 p.m. Arr. Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes.
