Jacqueline (Jackie) Beaulieu (83) died on March 26th, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Duane (Bumper) Beaulieu and her children Dan (Cassy) Beaulieu of Albany, Georgia and her daughter, Jane (Jim) Monson, of Brainerd. She has two grandchildren, Jessica (Mike) Haight of Brainerd, and Michael Beaulieu serving in the US Air Force. In addition, there are two great grandchildren, Laurelei and Michael Haight Jr. Jackie's one surviving sister, Mary (Chuck) Thompson resides in Elko, Nevada. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Esther and Osmond Ellis, her brother Bob, and sister, Sharon.
She was born in Ely, Minnesota on September 9, 1931. She graduated from Ely High School followed by attending the College of St Scholastica where she received her three year nursing certificate. Jackie later went on to receive additional nursing education. She married Bumper in 1952. They resided in Hibbing, MN until 1961, when Jackie and her family, moved to Brainerd. First Bumper followed by Jackie obtained employment at the former, Brainerd Regional Human Services Center. After 24 years of employment, primarily as the Director of Nursing, she retired in 1987. Jackie was very active in the Minnesota Nursing Association where she sought better working conditions and higher salaries for nurses.
Jackie enjoyed singing, dancing, reading, entertaining, shopping and travel. At the time of her death, Jackie resided at Edgewood Vista and received hospice care through St Croix Hospice. Both Jackie and her family would like to express their thanks to these very special people for their many kindnesses and heartfelt care during her illness.
A memorial service will be held at the Brenny Funeral Chapel, in Baxter, on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 @ 11:00 AM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
