Isabell Strack

Isabell A. Strack, age 94, formerly of Little Falls, died early Saturday morning at the Pierz Villa. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM Friday, March 18, at St. James Catholic Church of Randall with Father Leo Moenkedick officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 PM Thursday at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall; there will be Christian Mothers Rosary and Parish Prayers at 7:00 PM on Thursday.
Isabell was born on December 18, 1910, in Hartford Township near Browerville, MN, the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Loken) Katterhagen. She was called from this life early Saturday morning at the Pierz Villa in Pierz, MN. She had attained the age of 94 years, 2 months and 24 days.

She grew up near Browerville and attended school there. On January 6, 1931, she was united in marriage to Rudolph E. Strack in Browerville, MN. To this union 12 children were born. Isabell and Rudy were able to share 54 years of marriage together before he died in 1985. In her early years she was a telephone operator. She also owned and operated the Randall Café for a number of years. She enjoyed many things including crocheting, sewing, playing cards, and gardening. Most of all she loved being with her family.

Isabell was a member of St. James Catholic Church of Randall and was also a member of the Christian Mothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Katherine; husband, Rudolph; 2 children, Jerome and Nancy; 6 grandchildren, Joe Hengel, Adam Strack, Nancy Strack, David Strack, Paula Strack, and Becky Turner; and sisters Elnora Host, Bendina Carrier, Odilia Zigan, and Betty Vakoc.

Isabell is mourned in passing by her children, Don (Kathryn) Strack of Randall, Arlene (George) Turner of Randall, Jack (Arlene) Strack of Little Falls, Janice (LeRoy) Pusc of Little Falls, Carolyn (Val) Wielinski of McGregor, Judy (Elmer) Hengel of Pillager, Lois (Howard) Molde of Little Falls, Mary (Vernon) Virnig of Pierz, Dale (Susan) Strack of Randall, and Patricia (Dean) Colombe of Sun City, AZ; 51 grandchildren; 90 great grandchildren; several great, great grandchildren; a brother, Louis Katterhagen of Tacoma, WA; and daughter-in-law Diane Wright of Pine River, MN
