Isabel Knosalla

Isabel (Peterson) Knosalla, 93, of Staples, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 at Lakewood Health System Care Center from cancer. A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, August 19, 2013, at 10:30 AM, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples, with Father Joe Korf officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Brenny Funeral Home in Staples and one hour prior to the services, at the church on Monday. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples at a later date.

Isabel was born to Lawrence and Eliese (Oebser) Peterson on June 3, 1920, in Verndale. She grew up working hard on their farm and went to school at District 4. She married Louis Knosalla on August 20, 1940 in Staples and together they worked in the sign business, mobile home court, and was a wonderful homemaker. She loved dancing, crocheting, traveling, flowers, embroidering, watching birds, and loved being with her friends and family (especially all the little ones).

Isabel is survived by her children, Larry (Judy) of Motley, Linda of Arizona, and LuAnn (Greg) Miller of Champlin; 9 grandchildren; 25 (plus one due any day) great-grandchildren; 2 great, great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Bev Hahn of Staples; sister, Betty Dahlvang of Wadena; 9 grandchildren; 25 (plus 1 due any day) great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; parents; son, Leland; sisters, Ethel, Bethel, and DeEtta; and one great-grandson, Samuel Judd. She will be missed by all those who were blessed to know this lovely lady.
