Irmadelle Aune, age 93, a resident of Brainerd, died Sunday 10/10/04 at St Joseph Medical Center in Brainerd. Funeral services will be Friday 10/15/04 at 11:00 AM at Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd with Reverend Rory Swenson officiating, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The relatives will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Thursday at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with Eastern Star at 7 PM.
Irmadelle Aune was born on March 12, 1911 in Duluth, daughter of the late, Roland and Julia (Johnson) Warner. She moved with her parents to Brainerd at an early age. She graduated from Washington High School in 1930. She was united in marriage to Norman A. Aune on November 12, 1942 in Little Falls. She was a homemaker and worked at various places in the area. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church; Eastern Star; Shrine Auxiliary; American Legion Auxiliary; past president of the VFW Auxiliary; past president of the PTA and Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, raising flowers and had a great fondness for cats.
Irmadelle is survived by her husband, Norm; daughter, Barbara (Bert) Root of Oakdale; 2 sons, Norman (Allen) Aune Jr, of Brainerd, Kristopher Aune, of Stanton, Kentucky; sister, Ione Mullinder, of Mpls; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy; 2 brothers, Roland and Gene; sister, Ethel Caughey; and daughter-in-law, Judy.
