Irma P. Scott, 95, of Garrison Township passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010 at St. Josephs Medical Center in Brainerd. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Community Alliance Church in Garrison, starting at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Irma was born on May 12, 1914 to Fred and Ida (Hite) Lingwall in Emily, Minnesota. She moved with her parents to Garrison Township at an early age. Irma was united into marriage to Raymond Scott on May 12, 1937 in Garrison, Minnesota. They owned and operated Scotts Resort on Borden Lake. Irma had lived her whole life Crow Wing County and Irma also never received a pay check in her life. She was always self employed. Irma was a charter member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Irma enjoyed gardening, fishing, knitting, embroidering, and crocheting dish towels for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Irma will be sadly missed by her sons; Frank Scott of Garrison, and Robert (Mary) Scott of Garrison; three grandsons; Charles Scott, Jason (Laura) Scott, and Matthew (Tami) Scott; three great- grandchildren; Caitlin, Brenna, and Ali. She was preceded in death by her parents; Fred and Ida; three brothers; Irving Lingwall, Elmer Lingwall, and Donald Lingwall; two sisters; Viola and Elsie; and daughter-in-law; Jean Scott.
