Irma Maier

April 27, 1930 — February 2, 2011

Irma Minnie Maier, 80, of Lakeshore, passed away February, 2, 2011 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Memorial Services for Irma will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 8 at the Church of the Nazarene in Brainerd, with Pastor Ron Keysor officiating. Family and friends are welcome to visit one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Irma was born April 27, 1930, in Daggett Brook Township, MN, the daughter of Benjamin E. and Lavada (Lumsden) Holsapple. Irma was united in marriage to Leo Maier, who passed away in 1982. She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family and home. She raised her own children, as well as many foster children, for many years. Irma really liked to cook. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and an inspiration to everyone that knew her. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Irma will be missed by her children, Douglas (Jan) Maier, of Lakeshore, Judy Perry, of Lakeshore, and Dean Gravley - Maier, of Little Falls; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her siblings, Leonard Holsapple, of Oregon, Marion Rogers, of Pequot Lakes, Louise Cole, Bellingham, WA, Laverne "Shorty" Holsapple, of Lakeshore, and Robert Holsapple, of Pillager; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo and her siblings, James Holsapple, Byron Holsapple, Edward Holsapple, Rachel Gravley, and Marlis Holsapple.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
