Iola Faye Johnson, age 97, of Longville, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center, Pine River. She was born April 10, 1910 to Levi and Iona Rose. She lived in Longville most of her life. She married William A. Johnson on July 7, 1926.
Iola was an active member of the Longville Community Church and is remembered by the lovely flower arrangements she brought to the church until she was no longer able to do so. Ida and her husband were fire wardens for over 50 years. She loved gardening and berry picking.
She is survived by daughters: Lavonne Leiss (Norris) of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Carol Kline (Alvin) of Pine River, Karen Hausken (Ray) of Longville; sons: Jack Johnson (Alice) of Nashwauk, Elvin Johnson (Marinette) of Longville; daughter-in-law, Dolly Johnson of Longville; 16 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Bill, Jr., her parents, 6 sisters and 2 brothers.
Services will be 11 AM on Tuesday, February 26 at Longville Community Church. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Longville. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
