Inger N. Erickson, 64, of Hackensack died on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Services for Inger will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at The Bethany Good Samaritan Village.
Inger was born on August 15, 1946 in Norway to Oscar and Lilly (Johansen) Bogen. She came to America on the Queen Elizabeth in 1949. Inger grew up in Minneapolis and later graduated from Roosevelt High School. She worked in various jobs until working for Merrill Corporation for 24 years. In 1987, she moved to Hackensack to be in the lake country and there she worked in St. Cloud and from her home. Inger married Richard Erickson in Walker, MN in 1998. She enjoyed fishing from her pontoon, playing cards, pull tabs and knitting. Inger will be remembered as a kind and giving person and she was always there for many family members and friends.
Inger is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Richard; step-daughters, Jennifer (Paul) Scallon and Kimberly Erickson; Jennifer and Paul's children Devon and Connor; brothers Leif (Hanne Marie) Bogen and Rolf Bogen; sister Elsa (Charles) Carlson; and many nieces and nephews.
