Inez "Dolly" Headley, age 86, of Cushing, passed away at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls on Thursday, December 17. A Funeral service is planned for Tuesday, December 22, at 12:00 Noon, at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall. Visitation will begin at 10:00. Burial will be at the Cushing Union Cemetery.
Dolly was born on August 15, 1923, in Swanville, MN, to Falk and Christene (Erickson) Stroman. As a young woman, she worked in Chicago and the Twin Cities, before moving back to the Cushing area. On October 18, 1947, Dolly was united in marriage to James Headley in Little Fall, and they were blessed with five children. James passed away in 1982. Dolly was a member of the Randall VWF Auxiliary and the Homemakers Club. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, dancing, fishing, garage sales, pontoon rides, and traveling. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Dolly is survived by her children, Richard (Kathy), Judy (Don) Bellamy, Ronald (June), JoAnn (Ken) Beto, and Bonnie (Marvin) Ballou; grandchildren, Todd, Gina, Scott, Tracy, Clinton, Travis, Chad, Jamie, Marie, Matt, Lisa, Jenny, and Troy; 22 great-grandchildren; siblings, Evelyne Spearbeck, June Etzler, Verdin Stroman, and Floyd "Micky" Stroman; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents; sisters, Irene Schoen and Edna Smith; and a brother, Gordon; and her companion of 20 years, Bill Faber.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Home in Randall.
