Ina Lageson

Ina Lageson, 97, of Brainerd, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Good Samaritan Village - Bethany. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM, Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Good Samaritan Village - Bethany Chapel in Brainerd. Family and friends are invited to gather at 12:30 PM. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Minneapolis, MN.

Ina was born October 12, 1914, in Jacobson, MN, the daughter of John and Aliina (Pjurni) Nordberg. She was raised on a farm and she enrolled in junior college in Duluth during summers. She moved to Minneapolis at the age of 17, where she met Lester Lageson. They were united in marriage on May 18, 1935 and were married for nearly 66 years until the time of his death in 2001. Ina loved raising her family. In addition she worked outside the home in various sales positions. She was a volunteer for a local hospital auxiliary. Ina enjoyed golfing, ballroom dancing, playing cards and bowling. She was committed to lifelong fitness. She cherished the time she could spend with her family and friends. She appreciated and had her own good sense of humor. She will be missed by many family and friends.

She is surivived by her children, Sheila Holtan, Dean Lageson, and Susan (Mark) Lundholm; grandchildren, Cindy (Gary) Jackson, Tim Holtan, Keith (Jane) Holtan, Heidi (Tom Cobb) Holtan, Karl Lundholm, and Alina Lundholm; great-grandchildren, Sarah (Vinson) Stamm, Anna Jackson, and McKinley Holtan; and great-great-grandchildren, Hayden and Breken Stamm.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; sister, Kay Shafranski; and brothers, John, Veikko, and Jacob.
