Ila Strzelecki

Ila May Strzelecki, 88, of Little Falls, died January 11, 2012 at a family home in Bloomington, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, Monday, January 16 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Round Prairie, MN. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Scandia Valley Cemetery in Cushing.

Ila May (Japp) Strzelecki was one of nine children born to John August and Emily Japp on February 11, 1923, in Randall, MN.

She graduated from Little Falls High School in 1941 and moved to Chicago, IL, where she worked at Kroname Plate Manufacturing and met her husband Eugene. They were married on April 8, 1945, and lived in the Chicago area until March of 1970 when they moved to Scandia Valley, MN. She and her family enjoyed many years in Scandia Valley until their home burned down in Feb. of 2007, when she moved to the rural Little Falls area. Ila had a great love of our Lord, her holy Catholic faith, and a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and dedicated her life to the loving care of her family.

Ila is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; son, Daniel; son-in-law, William Lindenau; parents, John & Emily Japp; siblings Harry, Bill, Bob & Arne Japp; sister, Velma (Merle) Miller.
