Ida Klappenbach

Ida M. Klappenbach, 95, of Lindstrom, MN died on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Greeley Estates in Stillwater, MN. Services for Ida will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 11:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Staples, MN with visitation beginning at 10:00AM.

Ida was born on March 3, 1922 in Round Prairie, MN to Walter and Emma (Bristlin) Schmidt. She married Edward Klappenbach on April 22, 1942 in Staples, MN. Ida was a homemaker and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Staples, MN. She enjoyed gardening, and sewing. She was a member of the Country Garden Club, TLC Ladies Guild, and the quilting club. Ida was awarded ribbons for her hardanger, quilting, and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Diane John from Lindstrom, MN, Dayle Klappenbach of Stillwater, MN, and Karen Weber of St. Paul, MN; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Cecelia Weber of Brooklyn Park, MN. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Emma; husband, Edward; daughter, Kathryn (Kaye); grandparents; brothers, Paul, Ken, and Lloyd; sister, Ellen. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
