Hugh Cobb, 68, of Brainerd, died Monday, July 26, 2004, at his home. Hugh was born March 29, 1936 in Athens, GA son of William and Eula (Whitehead) Cobb. He graduated from Athens High School, and enlisted in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge he moved to Minneapolis where he worked for Hennepin County as a medical examiner for 13 years. He moved to the Brainerd area where he worked at Craguns Resort as a Security Guard. On March 15, 1991 in Brainerd, he was united in marriage to Pamela Manninen. He worked at Grand Casino and then worked at Cash Wise Liquors for 9 years. Hugh attended Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baxter. Was a member of the Lakes Area Senior Activity Center and a life time member of the Brainerd VFW Post #1647. He enjoyed fishing, sailing, traveling and had a love of water. He enjoyed contributing to the welfare of the Native Americans.
Hugh is survived by his wife, Pamela: children Debby Anderson of Cushing, Patty Cobb of Burnsville and Jeff Loeks of White Bear Lake; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. His parents 1 sister and 2 brothers preceded him in death.

Memorial service will be Thursday, July 29, 2004, 7 PM, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baxter with Reverend Arthur Frenz officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 PM until the time of service. Burial will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Camp Ripley 9:30 AM., Friday, with military honors provided by Randall VFW Post #9073.
