Hubert Alt

Hubert O. Alt, 92, of Brainerd, MN died on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at his Motley Farm. Services for Hubert will be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11:00AM at Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd, MN with Pastor Brenda King officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Hubert was born on August 16, 1922 in Motley, MN to the late Carl and Dora (Quade) Alt. He graduated from Motley High School before joining the United States Navy and then joining the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, Hubert married Donna Beving on June 10, 1945 in Bertha, MN. They farmed north of Motley, MN for many years. Starting their farm from scratch and cutting their own logs for their home. Hubert moved to Brainerd, MN many years ago. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, dancing, woodworking, and canoeing. Hubert liked bowling, logging, senior dances, camping, and farming. He was a member of the American Legion. Hubert was known for his courage and perseverance.

Hubert is survived by his children, Jerry (Kathy) Alt of Motley, MN, Bruce (Debbie) Alt of Elk River, MN, and Brian (Joyce) Alt of Pillager, MN; special friend, Betty Dechaine; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna; two brothers, Albert and Wayne; and one great-grandchild. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
