Howard Nerheim

Howard Nerheim, age 93, of Onamia died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia. Memorial services for Howard will be Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 1:00PM at Onamia VFW in Onamia, MN.

Howard Arthur Nerheim was born February 14, 1923 in Boyd, MN to Andrew and Hanah (Nelson) Nerheim. He attended South Dakota State University. He married May Donahoe in 1955, and was later widowed. He moved to Spring Lake Park in the early 1960's, and then to Garrison in the late 1970's. He worked as a computer engineer for thirty years, at Sperry. He loved computers and "figuring out things". He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and golfing. In his later years he enjoyed getting out and about in his wheelchair.

Howard is survived by his brother, Noble; and his foster children, Larry Miller and James Milstead; and May's son, Darrell Wheaton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Hanah; his wife, May; and a brother, Glen. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
