Howard Eisel

Howard “Gene” Eisel, 87, of Motley, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2022. Private services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.

Howard was born on March 28, 1934, to Joseph and Mary Lou (Knowlton) Eisel in Brainerd, Minnesota.  He was married to Diana LaFontaine in 1966 in South Dakota. He enjoyed trucking and metal work. Howard also enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and traveling. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by Diana, his wife of 55 years; children David (Kellie) Eisel, Theresa Eisel, Paul Eisel, Eugene Jr Eisel, Julie (Jerry) Jarsak, Richard Eisel, and Judy Sommerfield; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers Robert, Donald, and Joseph. Howard was preceded in death by his parents.
