Hipolita Jose

Hipolita "Poleng" Jose, 84, of Motley, MN died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at St. Cloud CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Funeral services for Hipolita will be 11:30 AM, Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN, with Steve Suer officiating.

Hipolita was born August 13, 1930 in Dauis Bohol, Philippines. She grew up and attended school there. Hipolita was united in marriage to Marcelo Jose on February 26, 1947 in Davao City, Philippines. They lived there for a short time, and then moved to Olongapo City, Philippines and they moved to Singapore in 1991. Poleng and Marcelo moved from Singapore in 1992 to San Francisco, and also lived in Woodbridge, VA, Sauk Rapids, MN, then to Leader, MN. Poleng enjoyed crocheting, making doll clothes, creating patterns in her head, watching the wildlife, especially the deer and turkeys.

Poleng is survived by her husband, Marcelo; children, Eduardo (Estelita) Jose of Olongapo, Philippines, Candie (Randy) Rittenhouse of Motley, MN, Arsenio Jose of Motley, MN, Esteban (Gina) Jose of Olongapo, Philippines; daughter in law, Laling Jose of Olongapo, Philippines; ten grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; 12 siblings; son, Roberto; and daughter in law, Violita Jose. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
