Helen Reynolds

Helen E. Reynolds, 88, of Lakeshore, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at her home. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Park United Methodist Church with Pastor Rory Swenson officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather 1 ½ hours prior to the service.

Helen was born February 12, 1923 in Cedar County, IA, the daughter of James and Olga (Port) Bacon. After graduating high school, Helen continued her education at Iowa State University where she received her degree in Textile and Clothing Design. In 1946, she was married to Roger B. Reynolds. The couple moved to the Brainerd Lakes Area in 1960. Since that time, she and Roger have operated Rainbow Bay Resort on Lake Margaret. Helen enjoyed art, especially textile and clothing design. She also liked homemaking.

She will be missed by her husband, Roger and her sister, Mary Albrecht and families.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Park United Methodist Church.
