Hazelynn Chrast

Hazelynn Isabelle Chrast, age 3, of Brainerd passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 13, 2020 due to complications from a medical emergency.  A celebration of Hazelynn’s life will be at 1PM on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter.  Vistation will be from 11-1PM on Saturday at the funeral chapel.

Hazelynn was born in Brainerd on June 8, 2016 to Kirsten Chrast and Issac Holmin.  She was a “Tom boy,” who loved to play with trucks, and baby dolls.  Hazelynn had a sparkle in her eye that could sometimes be menacing, and you immediately knew who was boss.  She loved the color purple, cats, making trouble, and Elsa from Frozen.  Hazelynn taught her mother patience and love that is bigger than this world.  She was spontaneous, happy, independent, and loving to her family.  Her great sense of humor and nice warm hugs will be missed by all who knew her.

Hazelynn is survived by her mother, Kirsten Chrast of Brainerd; father, Issac Holmin of Brainerd; sisters, Braelynn and Madalynn; maternal grandfather, Scott Strowbridge; paternal grandparents, Trina (Dan) Woeste, Bob Jr. (Sarah) Holmin; aunt, Miranda Strowbridge; uncle, Kevin Chrast; and many extended family and friends.

Hazelynn is dancing in heaven with her grandmother, Sheila Chrast; great grandfather Strowbridge and great grandfather, Chrast.
