Harvey Halverson

Harvey Richard Halverson age 83, of Motley died March 25 at St Cloud Hospital, St Cloud MN. Funeral Services will be on March 29, 2008 at 12 noon at the Mildred Bible Chapel, Backas, MN with Pastor Dennis Gellerman officiating. Family will receive friends from 10  12 prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Ponto Lake Cemetery, Backus, MN.
Harvey Richard Halverson was born January 19, 1925 to Ida Halverson in Foley, MN. He attended grade school in Blind Lake, MN and High School in Backus, MN. He served the United States Army in Italy during WWII. He was united in marriage to Myrtle Beals on November 6, 1946. They shared 61 years of marriage together, with the last twenty four in the Staples-Motley area. Harvey enjoyed deer hunting, wood working, needlecraft, flowers and bird watching.

Harvey is survived by his wife Myrtle; children, Ronald of Brainerd, Barbara (Landis) Erickson of Pelican Rapids, Nancy Olson of Motley, Lee (Terry) Halverson of Keizer, OR, Joan (Steve) Zeug of Princeton, Wesley (Michelle) Halverson of Tracy City, TN, Thenda (Jose) Bermea of Yuma, AZ; 1 sister, Irene Wolbeck of Becker, MN; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
