Harry Olson, Jr.

Harry W. "Bud" Olson, Jr., 67, of Crosby, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at his home. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Crosslake Assembly of God Church. Family and friends are invited to gather starting at 1:30 PM. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 28 at Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Eagle Bend, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Bud was born January 28, 1945, in Eagle Bend, MN, the son of Harry W., Sr. and Ester P. (Christianson) Olson. Following his graduation from Eagle Bend High School, Harry continued his education and graduated from Wadena and Staples Technical Schools. In 1964, he was united in marriage to Audrey Eckel in Minneapolis, MN. For 33 years, Harry worked for Polaris Industries.

Bud loved music. It was a passion he nurtured early in life. As a sixth grader, Harry played and marched in the Eagle Bend Varsity Band. As part of the band, he was able to participate in the Minneapolis Aquatennial Parade. He was honored to be inducted into two different Hall of Fames - Midwest Rock Country Hall of Fame and Polaris Industries Hall of Fame.

He will be missed by his wife, Audrey, of Crosby; son, Chad (Dana) Olson, of Emily; sisters, Sharon Stork, of Carlos, MN and Shirley (Don) Donnely, of Santa Paula, CA; brother, Jim (Sandy) Olson, of Rochester; and two grandchildren, Andy and Spencer.
