Harry Magney

Harry Magney, 101, of Brainerd, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Good Samaritan Society - Woodland. Services for Harry will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 12 at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2910 Oak Street, Brainerd with Pastor Jeff Scoggins officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Big Lake, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorial preferred.

Harry was born May 7, 1910 in Big Lake, MN. After completing his education, he began farming. In 1935, he was united in marriage to Christine Jones. The couple made their home in Big Lake, Duluth, Twin Cities, Brainerd and Florida before retiring to the Brained Lakes Area in 1981.

Harry will be missed by his wife, Christine; his daughter, Loretta M. Finden, of Buffalo, MN; 14 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Augusta Magney; his children, Carol H. Schwandt and Dean R. Magney; four brothers; and two sisters.
