Harold J. Horazdovsky, 85, of Brainerd, died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Good Samaritan Village - Bethany. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Crosslake Lutheran Church in Crosslake, MN with Pastor Greg Larsen officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Interment will be Friday, February 15 at 11:45 AM, at Roselawn Cemetery in St. Paul, MN with a remembrance beginning at 11:15 AM in the Roselawn Cemetery Chapel and gathering of family and friends to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Good Samaritan Society - Brainerd Communities.
Harold was born July 23, 1927 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Edward J. and Alvina W. (Kassuhn) Horazdovsky. Following high school, Harold enlisted in the US Navy. He was united in marriage to Eileen "Sally" Strobeck on June 9, 1949. For more than 40 years, Harold owned and operated his own Auto Repair shop. The couple retired to Mission Lake. Harold was a member of the Crosslake Lutheran Church, Crosslake Lutheran Church Choir, and the Geritol Frolics. He enjoyed woodworking.
He will be missed by his children, Steve (Leila), of St. Paul, Mike (Pam) Redmond, OR, David (Carol) of Sioux Falls, SD, Bruce, of Rochester, MN, and Jim (Ann), of Seattle, WA; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl, sister, Lorene; and his wife, Eileen "Sally".
