Harold Amerud

Harold E. Amerud, 89, of Brainerd, MN passed away peacefully at Essentia Health/St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, MN on Monday, April 2, 2018. Services for Harold will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 4:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN with visitation one hour prior to services at the chapel.

Harold was born on December 12, 1928 in Pillager, MN to Arthur and Pearl (Barnett). He married Sharon (Paulson) in 1964 in Sisseton, SD on April 30, 1964. Harold worked at Northwest Papermill for 40 plus years before retiring. He enjoyed hiking in the mountains, trout fishing, hunting, and traveling. Harold was a member of the American Legion.

Harold is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Steve, Mike, Jim, Joy, Wendy Richy, and Lexy (Steve) Barrows; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Marge and Lourdes; and sister, Bonnie Hale. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Pearl; sons, Tim and Doug; and brothers, Milton and Conrad. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
