Harland Finney

December 28, 1936 — February 28, 2010

Harland (Jack) Hall Finney, age 73, of Walker, Minnesota died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at his home after a 17 month battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Community Church in Walker with Pastor Dan Batson officiating. Burial will be in the Pine River Cemetery. If you plan to attend the service, please wear your favorite sports team shirt or jersey in honor of Jack.

Harland (Jack) Hall Finney was born December 28, 1936 in Chicago the son of Reginald and Sarah "Sally" (Hall) Finney. He graduated from the Pine River High School in 1955 and married Sandy Nagel in 1961. In 1990, he married Pat McAllister. He worked as the meat manager at Bielohs Family Foods for 29 years.

Jack enjoyed watching the Vikings, Twins and sometimes the Timberwolves, taking Mulan for walks, hunting, fishing and traveling around the United States.

Jack is survived by his wife, Pat of Walker, MN; daughters, Patricia Finney and fiancé Patrick Dwyer of Redford, MI, Janell Lindahl and special friend Brad Koering of Brainerd, Debby (Brent) Yates of Bemidji and Lila (Derek) Rutten of St. Paul; two sisters, Jean (Don) Kline of Pine River, Lila (Vernon) Sycks of Palmer, AK; brother, Frank (Barbara) McLean of Pequot Lakes; step children Scarlett (Tim) Feiler of Royalton, Derotha (Tim) Blaeser of West St. Paul and Jeffery (Cheryl) McAllister of Walker; eight grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and by his best little buddy, shihtzu Mulan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father William McLean.
