Hans Aagard Jr.

Hans Jensen Aagard Jr., was born September 29, 1938, and died September 16, 2013, after a 3 month battle with lung cancer.
He was formerly of Savage, MN, and retired in 1996 to Island Lake in Backus, MN. Hans was a graduate of Wadena High School followed by 4 years of service in the US Navy. He returned to Minnesota and worked for Green Giant/Silgan Corporation in Savage for over 30 years. Hans was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Longville and charter member of the Lakes and Pines chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant daughter, Linda Kaye.

He is survived by his wife, Ardis (Schroeder); daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie and Mike Heer, Judi and Tim Mortenson, Kari and Bob Evenson; grandchildren: Linda (Walt), Nick, Dan, Tom, Sam, Andy, Joe, Dylan, Jordyn; great granddaughter, Aubrey; siblings: Menetta (John Stordal), Charlotte (Don Stemson), Leroy (Lavonne) Aagard; brothers-in-law: Don Schroeder, Ken Schroeder; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation at Salem Lutheran Church in Longville, MN, Friday September 20 at 2:30 PM with the funeral to follow at 4:00 PM.
