Guy Schwender

Guy Martin Schwender, 59, of Backus, MN died at his home on Friday, November 6, 2015. No Services are being planned at this time.

Guy was born on July 21, 1956 in Minneapolis, MN to Keith and Geraldine (Link) Schwender. He grew up and was raised in Columbia Heights, MN. Guy owned his own roofing company and worked for Heavy Equipment Metal in Crystal, MN. He moved to Pequot Lakes in 1995 and became employed with Christensen Logging Services as a truck driver. He retired in 2000 due to his health. Guy enjoyed fishing, playing acoustic guitar, and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Guy is survived by his significant other, Patricia Masica of Backus, MN; daughters, Teela (Joshua) Mick of Backus, MN, and Trish (Stoney Thundershield) Schwender of Ideal Corners, MN; grandchildren, Tayten, Dustin, Bryce, Rayne, Damian, Kamren, Caden, and a granddaughter on the way (Arayah); and sister, Colleen (Randy) Olson of Alexandria, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN.
