Gordon Schenian

Gordon J. Schenian, age 74, of Cushing, formerly of Inver Grove Heights, passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital, on Thursday, May 17. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 21, at 12:00 P, at St. James Catholic Church in Randall. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, at the church. Burial will be at the Immanuel Cemetery in Long Prairie.

Gordon was born on August 3, 1937, in Beaver Dam, WI, to Herbert and Madelyn (Hammer) Schenian. In 1966, he married Roxanne Darsow. Gordy worked for LCL Transit, as a refrigerator mechanic, for 32 years. He and Roxanne moved to their lake home in Cushing, in 1997, where Gordy went to work as an auto glass repairman, retiring in 2002. Gordy loved archery, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of the Scandia Valley Lions Club, the Moose Lodge, Big Lake Sports, and the NRA.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Roxanne; children, Shari (Jim) Schumann of Maplewood, Brian of Monticello, IN, Blake (Joan) of Inver Grove Heights, and Kevin (Tammy) of Little Falls; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale (Betty) and Jim (Terri); as well as many nieces and nephews.
