Gordon Johnson

Gordon A. Johnson, 76, of Pillager, MN passed away on May 22, 2023 in Brainerd, MN. A memorial service for Gordon is being planned for July, 2023. Interment will take place at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Gordon was born in Bertha, MN to Victor and Selma (Leagjeld) Johnson on April 14, 1947. In 1967, he was drafted in the United States Army, and was honorably discharged in 1970. Gordy worked as a local 455 union pipefitter serviceman until he retired. His love of flying planes came through as an aircraft mechanic and a private pilot. He was known as a ‘garage inventor’ as he loved spending time tinkering with different ideas in his garage. He loved spending time with his friends and family, and loved to help others.

Gordon is survived by his wife Gloria Johnson of Pillager, his daughter Leah Johnson of Pillager, his son Jeno Johnson of Dellwood, MN, his grandchildren Isabelle Johnson, Grace Johnson, and Eleanor Johnson, and his brothers Gerald (Donna) Johnson of Buffalo, MN and Dale Johnson of Seattle, WA.

He is preceded in death by his parents Victor and Selma and his brother Russell Johnson.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
