Gordon Fitch

Gordon L. Fitch III, 54, of Brainerd died on Monday, June 11, 2012. Funeral Services for Gordon will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with visitation one hour prior to services.

Gordon was born on March 20, 1958 in Superior, Wisconsin to Gordon and Celia (Blanchard) Fitch Jr. He grew up and attended school in Brainerd, MN. Gordon married Donna Benson on April 13, 1996 in Bloomington, MN. He worked for 14 years for Northstar Platting. Gordon was always willing to help anyone with anything. His dog, Baby was a favorite companion of his. He enjoyed fishing, yardwork, and was a home body and loved his home. Family will remember him as a kind and loving person, who always put others needs in front of his own. Gordon loved music and played many instruments. He loved to sing and play in his younger days.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Jolene Fitch, Nicholas (Janelle) Fitch, Heather (Jerry) Nakonsky; two adopted children, Tasha Dwyer and Jennifer Richmond; step-children, Brenda (Glen) Lee, Jerry (Priscilla) Benson, and Matthew (Amanda) Benson; many grandchildren; brother, Rob (Tammy) Fitch; sisters, Deborah (Roger) Krantz, Cindy (Tim) Grisham, Shelly (Mike) Troupe, and Tammy (David) Jungwirth; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He will be missed deeply by a special mom to him, Vera Breeden and Papa's girl, Page Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Celia. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
