Glen Anderson

April 21, 1927 — November 22, 2012

Glen B. Anderson, 85, of Pine River, MN, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Deer Creek, MN. Glen married Norma Wilson on Sept. 15, 1951 in Deer Creek, MN. He married his second wife, Carol Erickson on Nov. 2, 1985. He served in the US Navy during WWII from 1944-1946.

Glen had a long and distinguished career in the creamery business. He worked at the Deer Creek creamery, Walters MN creamery, Courtland Creamery, Twin Dairies and AMPI. In 1972 he founded Anderson Custom Processing Inc. in Sleepy Eye, MN. Two years later he opened a plant in Little Falls, MN and in 1986 he opened a plant in Belleville, WI.

Glen enjoyed the outdoors, which included pontooning on Lower Hay Lake, hunting and fishing. His love of farming led him to start A & J Buffalo Ranch in 1991. He also enjoyed traveling, especially with his family. Glen will be remembered for his hard work, kindness and generosity. He kept his concern for others and sense of humor until his death.

Glen is survived by his wife, Carol; children: Brenda Hudalla (Tom), Denice Anderson (Paul Furth), Brian Anderson (fiancé Michelle), Dave Anderson (Dana); stepchildren: Scott Erickson and Cinda Vondergeest; along with 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grand children; Siblings: Ted Anderson, Bruce Anderson, Joann Beaman, and Rhoda Stinar.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bernie and Emma Anderson, first wife, Norma Anderson, granddaughter, Holly Zwach, and daughter, Janel Anderson.

Services will be 11 AM on Monday, November 26, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes, with Pastor Frank Milo officiating. Burial will follow at Pequot Lakes City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
