Gertrude Vaux

Gertrude Ann Vaux, 86, of Pequot Lakes, passed away on Sunday November 14, 2021. Services will be at 1 pm on December 4th at the Pequot Lakes Baptist Church with a visitation one hour prior.

Ann was born on May 28, 1935, to Everet and Marie Burrell in Adel, Iowa. She completed school until the 11th grade. She Married James Vaux on January 26, 1953, in Stillwater, Minnesota. Ann showed her love by cooking and baking for her family, friends and community. Ann worked for Anoka County for forty years as a foster mom to over 150 kids. She kept herself busy raising five children of their own and had plenty of love to give all her foster children. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Ann is survived by her loving husband, James; children, Pamela French, Teresa Smith, Cindy Koch, Jean Crum, James Vaux Jr., siblings; Loretta Swanson, and Wilma Louma, eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Gene, Richard, Wayne, Terry and Deloris Burrell.

In Lieu of flowers, donations will be given to St. Judes and Smile Train. Please make donations payable to James Vaux.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Pequot Lakes.
