Gerhard (Gary) Hasser, 86, of Baxter, MN, formerly from Fairbanks, AK and Longville, MN, passed away on Tuesday November 28, 2023, at Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
There will be a prayer service held on Friday December 8, 2023, at 2:00pm at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.
Gary was born on October 3, 1937, in Long Prairie, MN to Erhard (Hardy) and Agnes (Aggie Lucas) Hasser.
Gary served in the US Army during the Korean War as a cook. He then worked for the Highway Department out of Hopkins, MN for a time, and later moved to Fairbanks, AK to work on the Alaskan Pipeline until his retirement.
Gary is survived by his daughter Cristy, with former wife, Pat; siblings Bill (Joe Carbajal) Hasser, Bob (Sandy) Hasser, Audrey Rejda, Tom (Diane) Hasser, Anita Ortloff, Jim (Cathy) Hasser, Sue (Dale) Scobie, Kris (Joe) Kotula; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in-law Don Rejda, Ray Ortloff, and nephew Greg Hasser.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
