Geraldine "Deanie" Judith Hines, 66, of Brainerd, MN died on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Essentia Health/St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, MN. Funeral Services for Deanie will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 10:00AM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 5:00-7:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Interment at Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager, MN.

Deanie was born on April 2, 1948 in Brainerd, MN to Harry "Pat" and Janette "Shorty" (Edeburn) Simons. She married Leonard Hines on June 11, 1966 in Nisswa, MN.
Deanie was a housekeeper for various hotels and she retired from Mr. Tubbs. She was a caring, stubborn, spitfire who loved her collection of solar lights. Deanie liked flowers, loved to fish, going to the casino, attending the State Fair, and helped anyone that needed a hand. She was very outgoing and made sure to take care of everyone else's needs before her own. Deanie was a member of The Eagles Club, Pillager Lions, and Pillager Fairboard. She also called Bingo and volunteered for Ruby's Pantry.

Deanie will be sadly missed by her husband, Lonnie of Brainerd, MN; son, Kent (Amy Matter-Hines) of Brainerd, MN; sister, Rita Harrah of Pillager, MN; brother, Eldon "Pete" (Barb) Simons of New Hope, MN; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Merten, David, Darwin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
